New and improved MacOS MDM migration process

Apple’s WWDC 2025 happened this week and Cupertino dropped a new way to migrate MacOS devices to a new MDM right in the Apple Business Manager. Good news is no more manual re-enrollments or factory resets! In this blog post by Somesh Pathak, you’ll find all details on how the new method works, with screenshots and videos.

New blog for endpoint management professionals

A new Intune-related blog by Jeff Pollock has been posted to the MEM LinkedIn page. In this latest post, Jeff covers how to properly access 32- and 64-bit registry information in your PowerShell scripts. Lots of good info found there. Check it out!

Updates to IntuneFirewallMigration tool

An update has been posted to Nick Benton’s IntuneFirewallMigration tool. You can use to capture the firewall profiles of a target machine and then easily import them into Intune. Seems like a worthwhile tool to check out if you’re getting started with your Intune deployment.

Lock it down: Personal Data Encryption roll-out guide

Microsoft recently released Personal Data Encrytion in Windows 11 24H2. According to Microsoft, “Unlike BitLocker, which encrypts entire volumes and disks, Personal Data Encryption focuses on individual files, providing another layer of security.” This new blog post by Dustin Gullett breaks down this feature, how you can roll it out with Intune, and how it can be part of your zero trust strategy.
